I want a referendum?

Posted by Stanley Crossick on 26/02/08

The number of supporters of the UK ‘I Want a Referendum’ campaign reached 40 000 this morning according to its website, that is to say 0.09% of the electorate.

‘I Want a Referendum’ is organising a mass lobby of Parliament tomorrow.

“This is your chance to come to Westminster and tell your MP that you want a referendum on the EU Treaty. One week later – on 5 March – MPs will be voting on whether or not there should be a national referendum. Don’t miss your last chance to persuade them to vote ‘yes’!”

Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s decision not to hold a referendum has been vindicated
