The United States is apparently continuing to fight the Taliban on Pakistani soil without government approval. Wasn’t that once an act of war?

Last month, Russia attacked Georgia, rightly giving rise to widespread Western condemnation.

Arguments can be proffered as to the difference between the two but both involve illegal territorial interference with national sovereignty, contrary to the wishes of the elected governments.

Not really, it’s an act of self-defence. It’s actually Pakistan whose stance is warlike. They are allowing terrorists to attack American’s by night, then run back behind Pakistani lines by morn. If you knowingly, willingly give shelter to a rogue force, then you have chosen sides in a conflict.

Pakistan claims that it can and will fire upon American’s the next time they persue the Taliban into Pakistan… IT BEGS THE QUESTION: WHY HAVEN’T YOU FIRED AT THE TALIBAN AS THEY CROSS INTO PAKISTAN? Are you saving your bullets for the Americans?

As Israel did when the PLO was launching attacks from Syria or Jordan, then retreating behind “sovereign lines”; as the United States did when the Vietcong hid assets in Camodia & Loas; as ANY NATION WOULD DO IF FACED WITH DAILY ATTACK ON ITS PEOPLE – you go after the enemy. If a nation habours that enemy, they too become the enemy…

This isn’t a technicality, this isn’t a detail, these are human lives you are talking about.

THAT’S LIKE COMPARING APPLES AND ORANGE COLORED WATER GUNS!
    Did Georgia attack Russia?
Were insurgents (or any group, no matter the moniker) attacking Russia from Georgia?
Were insurgents using Georgian borders as a haven?
Was Russia or Russians in any way threatened by Georgia?

No No No No No… Russia invaded… America was persuing a common enemy of both itself and Pakistan (even if it weren’t a common enemy however, Pakistan needs to choose sides)

BTW: your claims of “illegal territorial interference”, do you charge the Taliban with your accusatory brush (illegal interference in Afghanistan & Pakistan) or does it stop at the US of A?
