Early voting will seal McCain’s fate
October 22, 2008
I was amazed to read about hours-long queues outside polling booths set up for early voting in 46 of the 50 American states ahead of the 4 November election day. Voter’s intentions could normally be influenced by what happens between now and 4 November.
Substantial numbers of early voters are predicted. This could be a big advantage to Obama, because these voters will not be affected by:·
- a McCain recovery: Obama is currently riding high
- a serious Obama faux pas
- an Al-Qaida intervention
Furthermore, early voting will facilitate first time voting, a major benefit to Obama as he has succeeded in attracting large numbers of such voters.
This convinces me, not just that Obama will win, but that there will be a landslide.
